Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Fria LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the TurfRun mobile app, website, and related services.

TurfRun creates an anonymous account so you can start without providing a real name, email address, or password. Anonymous accounts still have persistent identifiers: your runs, progress, purchases, analytics, and diagnostics can be linked to that account.

Third-party websites, app stores, and services have their own privacy policies.

Run and fitness information: precise GPS coordinates, route shape, run date, distance, duration, calculated pace, closed-loop status, and run history.

Game and profile information: territory claims, raids, fortifications, leaderboard totals, streaks, quests, generated runner nickname, built-in avatar selection, territory color, city, settings, onboarding status, and progress. This version does not offer uploaded photos, free-form public names, or messaging.

Account, app, and device information: anonymous account and installation identifiers, app version, device and operating system information, language and approximate region, feature interactions, crash reports, error logs, and technical diagnostics.

Purchase information: subscription product, purchase history, transaction identifiers, renewal and entitlement status, and purchase or restore events. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your full payment card number.

Support information: your email address and the information you choose to send when contacting us. Please avoid sending precise routes or other sensitive information unless needed to resolve your request.

TurfRun uses location permission to record your route, detect loops, calculate distance, and capture territory. During an active GPS run, location recording continues when the app is in the background or the screen is locked. Background recording ends when the run ends.

Your precise run history is stored on your device and synced to your account. It is not shown as a live location feed to other players. Our services process routes to validate runs and calculate territory.

Public maps and leaderboards show generated runner nicknames, built-in avatars, territory colors, city labels, territory ownership, scores, and relevant game events. Claimed territory is visible on the map and can reveal areas where you run, even though your detailed route history is private.

You can choose to share a run summary or screenshot using your device sharing controls. Review it first: it may contain a route or locations you prefer to keep private.

Location access is optional, but GPS recording and territory capture require it. Manage precise location and location permission in iOS Settings.

Connecting Apple Health is optional. With your permission, TurfRun writes completed GPS running workouts, distance, and workout routes to Apple Health. Demo runs are not saved to Health.

TurfRun does not request access to read your existing Health records. The route and fitness data synced to TurfRun come from runs recorded in TurfRun, not from reading Apple Health.

You can change Health permissions at any time using Apple Health or iOS Settings. Deleting your TurfRun account does not remove workouts already saved to Apple Health; manage or delete those records in the Health app. Health data is not used for advertising.

We use information to record runs, calculate and validate territory, maintain your progress, display maps and leaderboards, provide Pro access, schedule local reminders, prevent abuse, provide support, and diagnose errors.

Firebase Analytics records events such as app launches, onboarding, runs saved, and purchase actions. Run events include distance, duration, and capture totals. Firebase Crashlytics records crashes, non-fatal errors, and related app state. We set the anonymous account ID in these services to understand problems affecting an account and improve reliability.

TurfRun does not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Advertising identifier collection, advertising data sharing, personalized advertising signals, and on-device advertising conversion measurement are disabled in this release.

Google Firebase provides anonymous authentication, Cloud Firestore data storage, Cloud Functions game processing and account deletion, Remote Config feature configuration, Analytics, and Crashlytics. These services receive account, gameplay, location, usage, or diagnostic information needed for their respective functions.

Routes and run history are associated with your anonymous account. Public game data use a generated nickname and built-in avatar. Anonymous does not mean that stored information cannot be connected to your account or device.

An anonymous account may not be recoverable after losing your device, deleting app data, or reinstalling. Restoring an Apple purchase restores eligible Pro access, not deleted gameplay history.

TurfRun Pro subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account. Apple handles payment processing, subscription management, and refund requests.

RevenueCat verifies purchases, restores eligible subscriptions, manages Pro entitlements, and provides purchase analytics. We associate RevenueCat records with your TurfRun anonymous account ID. RevenueCat privacy information: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Deleting your TurfRun account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Use Manage Subscription in TurfRun Settings or iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions to cancel it separately.

We share information with service providers as needed for authentication, cloud storage, game processing, purchase verification, analytics, diagnostics, hosting, and support. Public territory and leaderboard information are available to other players as described above.

We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of TurfRun, users, and others.

If Fria LLC or TurfRun is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred subject to applicable protections.

With your permission, TurfRun schedules local notifications for gameplay reminders such as raids or streaks. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.

Our website and hosting provider receive information needed to deliver and protect web requests, such as IP address, request details, and technical logs. The website does not ask for precise location or offer advertising trackers.

In TurfRun, open Profile > Settings > Delete Account & Data and confirm to delete your anonymous account and the associated TurfRun profile, run history, routes, territory, and activity from our active game services. The app clears local gameplay data after server deletion is confirmed.

An internet connection is required. If deletion is interrupted or fails, the app keeps a pending request and stops syncing gameplay. Use Retry Account Deletion on the deletion screen; the server also retries pending work. The app confirms completion rather than treating a failed request as successful.

We retain a limited security record of the account identifier, deletion request verification, status, and timing to complete retries, verify completion, and prevent deleted data from being recreated by delayed requests. This record does not preserve your route or gameplay history.

Apple purchase records, RevenueCat transaction records, and previously submitted analytics or crash records are not all erased immediately by the in-app deletion action. They may remain subject to provider retention policies and legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and security obligations. Contact privacy@fria.ai for help with a broader privacy request.

Deleting the app alone does not delete synced data. Deleting an account does not cancel subscriptions or remove workouts from Apple Health. Cancel subscriptions and remove Health records separately using Apple controls.

We otherwise retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet applicable obligations. Backup and diagnostic copies may remain for their normal retention periods after data is removed from active game services.

We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls, to protect account data. No transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Keep your device secure and updated. Consider the locations revealed by territory claims before running near sensitive places, and review screenshots or summaries before sharing them.

TurfRun is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Contact privacy@fria.ai if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and take appropriate action.

Fria LLC and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Applicable privacy protections can differ; we apply safeguards where required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@fria.ai to make a request.

We may need information from your app or support request to locate an anonymous account and verify that you control it. We will respond as required by applicable law.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision, and we will provide notice of material changes where appropriate.
