Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TurfRun collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the TurfRun mobile app, website, and related services.

TurfRun is provided by Fria AI, Inc.. The app is designed to work without requiring a real name, email address, or password to begin playing.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, or services that are not controlled by us, even if they are linked from TurfRun.

Run and route information: GPS points collected during a run, route shape, distance, duration, pace-related calculations, closed-loop status, claimed hexes, stolen cells, fortified cells, and run history.

Game information: your territory, rivals, raids, leaderboard totals, streaks, quests, color choices, avatar choices, profile display name, settings, onboarding status, and app progress.

Device and app information: basic technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, diagnostics, and error information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve TurfRun.

Purchase information: subscription product, entitlement status, purchase or restore status, and related transaction metadata needed to unlock TurfRun Pro. We do not receive your full payment card number.

TurfRun uses location access while you run to draw your route, detect closed loops, calculate distance, create territory, and show your progress on the map.

Location is central to the game. If you do not grant location permission, GPS runs and territory capture may not work, although some demo or non-location features may still be available.

Route data may be stored locally on your device and, when sync is enabled and configured, stored remotely so you can review history, keep territory state consistent, participate in leaderboards, and share run summaries.

You should avoid using TurfRun in places where saving or sharing a route could reveal sensitive locations. You can manage location permission in iOS Settings.

We use information to operate TurfRun, record runs, calculate territory, detect loops, maintain your game state, show leaderboards, process Pro access, schedule reminders, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve the product.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand feature usage, improve reliability, plan new features, and communicate product performance without identifying individual users.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your precise route history for third-party advertising.

TurfRun stores gameplay data locally on your device so the app can work across sessions.

If Firebase is configured, TurfRun uses Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous account and Cloud Firestore to sync game progress, runs, profiles, and leaderboard entries. Firebase is provided by Google.

Synced leaderboard entries may include display name, avatar, territory color, city label, and territory totals. You should not use a real name or sensitive information as your display name if you do not want it visible to others.

TurfRun Pro subscriptions and in-app purchases are billed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple handles payment processing and account-level subscription management.

RevenueCat helps us verify subscription status, restore purchases, manage entitlements, and understand whether Pro features should be unlocked. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple's subscription management and cancellation controls are available through iOS Settings and the App Store. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate TurfRun, including cloud hosting, anonymous authentication, database sync, purchase entitlement verification, app distribution, diagnostics, and support.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of TurfRun, our users, or others.

If TurfRun or Fria AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

With your permission, TurfRun may schedule local notifications for raid warnings, streak reminders, or other gameplay prompts.

Notification permission is optional. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.

Some notifications are scheduled on your device based on local game state. Others may depend on synced app state if remote features are enabled.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide TurfRun, maintain your game state, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce terms, and maintain security.

Deleting the app may remove local data from your device, but it may not automatically delete data that has already been synced remotely or records maintained by Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat, or other service providers.

To request deletion of synced TurfRun data controlled by Fria AI, Inc., contact privacy@fria.ai. We may need enough information to locate your anonymous account or verify the request.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect TurfRun data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use TurfRun with the understanding that security risks cannot be eliminated entirely.

You can help protect your privacy by keeping your device secure, updating iOS and TurfRun, and avoiding public display names that reveal sensitive information.

TurfRun is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to TurfRun, contact privacy@fria.ai so we can review and take appropriate action.

TurfRun and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate.

Privacy laws may differ from those in your location. When information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information we control.

Because TurfRun can use anonymous accounts, we may not be able to identify your data without information from your device, app account, or support request. We will respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law.
